Were you aware of a letter coming from headquarters concerning Vlakplaas Division C1 that was a newly established structure?

MR NEL: At the time of this incident you were a member of the police, stationed at Vlakplaas, under the command of Col de Kock.

MR RAS: Yes, it was part of Vlakplaas that we executed operations which were basically beyond the law.

MR NEL: At the time of this incident were you a member of Vlakplaas, obviously in the South African Police?

MR BOOYENS: It is also correct - you have heard the evidence of Mr du Toit, that you manufactured a prototype and that this was tested at Vlakplaas.
