Special Report Transcript Episode 67, Section 3, Time 20:32

That night what happened, I was sitting in the dining room. It was myself and there was another friend of us, Dada, he’s staying in Soweto so he used to visit us and we were playing cards in there with Stompie. It was myself, Dada and Stompie playing cards in the dining room. So we heard a noise, somebody shouting. Come out! Come out! So we thought it’s maybe the police. So all of a sudden, there was a man with an army jacket. So he ordered us into a kitchen. So when we went into a kitchen we find there were two groups. So the other group was the people whom we stayed with and another group was a strange group, foreigners, so we didn’t know them. We only knew Xoliswa and Katiza; we only knew the two of them. So when we arrived there, Jerry – he was wearing a khaki overall – then he asked Xoliswa, who are they? So, Xoliswa said they are Thabiso, Pelo and Stompie and Kenny because he’s clever. So, that’s when they grabbed us and say let us go, go with us. So they take us out of the house into a minibus around the corner. So the minibus was standing there. So we went into a minibus down to Diepkloof, Diepkloof Extension. We arrived there at Diepkloof Extension, we were ordered out of the minibus into the backroom of the house. They insisted on Stompie being an informer and we tried to explain to them that Stompie was not an informer. So one guy brought up the food and said we should eat and myself and Stompie we didn’t eat, because we were afraid. Those guys had their supper and after that one guy came again and said Mama is going to call us. So he called us into the previous room. And that’s where we went, to the other room. So when we are there we are sitting next to the door. So Jerry said to the driver of the minibus, Morgan should go and fetch a seat for Mami. So then Morgan went to fetch a seat. Then Winnie came in and she started asking us, why are you sleeping with a white reverend? And why is Stompie an informer. Then that’s when she starting beating us and told us that we are not fit to be alive. Firstly it was Winnie, who first started beating us with the fist. She was the one who started the beating and the group joined beating us, all of the group that were there the up and lifted us up and left us to drop on the floor.
