An Inkatha supporter who was stabbed, beaten and burnt to death by UDF supporters at Umlazi, Durban, on 29 September 1985, in intensifying political conflict in the area. Mr Hlela was branded as ‘AmaButho’ because he had gone to work in his traditional attire for a Shaka’s Day celebration. See AmaButho.
