Description
An underground ANC member who was convicted of high treason and imprisoned for eight years on Robben Island from April 1965. In June 1981 he was detained in Mdantsane, Ciskei, and was severely tortured by named members of the SAP at West Bank prison. Mr Keye became mentally ill as a result. He was sentenced to a further three years in prison for his political affiliation and was finally released in 1987.
