Was stoned and burnt to death by community residents in Venda on 2 February1990. He was one of several people attacked for allegedly practising witchcraft to impede the community’s campaign for re-incorporation of the homeland into South Africa. Two perpetrators were granted amnesty (AC/2000/094).
