Was severely beaten by members of the SAP in Khutsong, Carletonville, Transvaal, in July 1986 at a night vigil. Political gatherings were prohibited during the state of emergency imposed in June 1986. Members of the SAP and SADF surrounded the tent, then entered and beat people severely.
