Was injured and suffered damage to property during an organised attack by several hundred IFP supporting residents of the KwaMadala Hostel, on the Boipatong community, near Vanderbijlpark, Tvl, during a period of escalating violence between the ANC/IFP in the area. This attack became known as the Boipatong massacre, which left 45 persons dead and 27 seriously injured. Sixteen perpetrators applied for amnesty for these atrocities of which 13 were granted and three were refused (AC/2000/209)
