Was one of the bus commuters stopped by Venda Police at a roadblock at Vleifontein near Louis Trichardt, Transvaal, on 16 April 1986. They were sjambokked on the way to the police station because their identity books were not stamped ‘Venda.’ They were later charged with resisting incorporation into Venda.
