Was brutally assaulted and his home and livestock were destroyed by members of the Transkei Police and other named perpetrators in Lady Frere, Transkei, in February 1980, allegedly because he refused to adhere to an eviction order issued by the Transkei Government. This happened during the implementation of the Trust Land Act in the area.
