Was being carried by his mother when he was shot in the shoulder by IFP supporters and KwaZulu Police members in Folweni, KwaZulu, near Umlazi, Durban, on 27 July 1992. The attackers were allegedly searching for his uncles, who were ANC supporters and had fled the area. Percivan’s grandmother was killed in the attack. His mother was also shot and injured.
