A non-partisan who was shot dead by a named Inkatha supporter in Sakhotshe, KwaZulu, near Hammarsdale, Natal, in July 1986, allegedly because he did not take part in Inkatha activities and was therefore assumed to be an ANC supporter. His friend was shot and injured in the same incident.
