TIRO, Abram Onkgopotse

Description
A founding member of SASO and the BPC re p resentative in Botswana, was killed by a parcel-bomb explosion on 1 February 1974 at St Joseph’s Catholic Mission in Khale, near Gaborone, Botswana. While the identity of the perpetrators has not been established, available evidence indicates that the assassination was the result of a South African security force operation. Mr Tiro was from Dinokana, near Zeerust, Transvaal.
