Four people died and eight were injured. One SDU member was granted amnesty for the attack on the taxi (AC/1999/0225). The club was targeted because it was allegedly frequented by ANC supporters. The soldiers alleged that Mr Zwelifile had thrown stones at them. Nine other people died in the incident. | References | | ZWENI, Douglas Ndakuthini | 62 | A local councillor who was stabbed and stoned to death by UDF supporters in Zolani, Ashton, Cape, on 26 April 1986.
