Description
A COSATU member who was teargassed and stabbed with a sharp instrument by Inkatha supporters, some of whom were named, and SAP and KwaZulu Police members in Mpophomeni, KwaZulu, near Howick, Natal, on 10 November 1989. Mr Zondi was involved in the Sarmcol rubber factory strike, which had fuelled political conflict in the area. See Sarmcol strike.
