DECISION

                                                            

The amnesty Committee having considered the nature of the offence and the application of Colin James Balderson is satisfied:

1. that the application falls within the ambit of section 19 (3) (b) of Act 34 of 1995 and,

2. that the requirements set out in section 20 of the said Act have been complied with.

The applicant is therefore 

GRANTED: amnesty in respect of his attending an unlawful gathering during 1972 at Grahamstown, which gathering constituted a demonstration in contravention of a

municipal by-law and for which he pad an admission of guilt fine in the amount of R30.00.
