        : DECISION

 1. The Committee, having considered the application and relevant documentation, is satisfied that:

 a) the application complies with the requirements of the Act, Act 34 of 1995;

 b) the act, omission or offence to which the application relates are acts associated with a political objective committed in the course of the conflicts of the past;

 c) that the relevant facts relating to the particular offence have been disclosed.

 2. Amnesty is therefore 

GRANTED: in respect of the following offences.

 a) Contravention of Section 32(1) (A) of Act 75 of 1969 (unlawful possession of a machine fun) on 28 April 1994 at Duncan Village, East London.

  b) Contravention of Section 32(1)(e) of Act 75 of 1969 (unlawful possession of ammunition to be discharged from a machine gun) on 28 April 1994 at Duncan Village, East London.
