DECISION

                                                                                           

The applicant was during 1992-1993 a member of the Inkatha Freedom Party at Katlehong.  He participated in activities amounting to the unlawful possession of a firearm and for which he was convicted and sentenced.  He acted as a member of the Inkatha Freedom Party Self-Defence Unit and completely in the interests of the aforementioned organisation.  The requirements of Act 34 of 1995 have been complied with.  

The applicant is consequently 

GRANTED AMNESTY: for

 The unlawful possession of an AK47 firearm and ammunition in contravention of Section 32(1)(a) of Act 75 of 1969 for which he was convicted and sentenced to six (6) years imprisonment in Southern Transvaal Regional court held at Vosloorus on the 26 September 1994.
