DECISION

                                                                                            

The applicant makes an applicaation for amnesty in terms of Act 34 of 1995 as amended (the Act) in respect of unlawful possession of three (3) AK 47 firearms and on (1) handgrenade on or about the 27 March 1994 near Kruger National Park,

He was a member of the military wing (MK) of the African National Park, Gauteng.

In the circumstances, clearly the unlawful possession of these items was for political reasons and he seems to have disclosed the necessary information.

In the result, we are satisfied that he has complied with the requirements of the Act and amnesty is GRANTED to him in respect of the unlawful possession of three and one (1) handgrenade.
