DECISION

The Applicant indicates in his written amnesty application   that he was a member of the security branch of the Venda Police during the period   1978 - 1994.  In this capacity he investigated numerous matters including incidents   of arrest during the period 1985 - 1990.  He indicated that he always acted   in the execution of his official duties and that he never assaulted any arrestee.    It is quite apparent from the application that the Applicant acted lawfully   in the course and scope of his employment as a police officer.

In the circumstances the application does not disclose any   offence.  The application accordingly does not comply with the requirements   of the Act and amnesty is REFUSED.
