			<text>The applicant was, during 1993-1994, a member of the African National Congress in Mozambique.  He participated in activities amounting to unlawful possession of AK47 machine guns; unlawful possession of ammunition; unlawful possession of hand grenades; unlawful possession of firearms and unlawful possession of ammunition and for which he was convicted and sentenced.  He acted as a member of the African National Congress and completely in the interests of the aforementioned organisation.  The requirements of Act 34 of 1995 have been complied with.  The applicant is consequently GRANTED amnesty for:</text>

			<text>i) the unlawful possession of 17 AK47 machine guns;</text>

			<text>ii) unlawful possession of ammunition (two counts);</text>

			<text>iii) unlawful possession of four hand grenades;</text>

			<text>in contravention of Act 75 of 1969 for which he was convicted and sentenced to ten (10) years; five years and twelve months; eight years and three years respectively by the Regional Court, Barbeton on 2nd February 1994.  The sentences to run concurrently.</text>
