The attempted murder of Sgt S Groenewald and five other policemen. 2. The illegal possession of: (a) A 9mm Stechkin pistol. (b) 3 handgrenades. (c) 537 rounds of 7,65mm AK47 machine rifle ammunition. (d) 466 rounds of 9mm ammunition. in contravention of the Arms and Ammunition Act. The Amnesty Committee is of the opinion that Sgt Groenewald is a victim and is accordingly referred to the Committee on Reparation and Rehabilitation for its consideration in terms of Section 26 of the Act.
