decisions AMNESTY DECISIONS 1998-11-02 CARL MATHINUS KRIEL AC/98/0083 AM 6699/97 GRANTED https://sabctrc.saha.org.za/hearing.php?id=58639&t=&tab=hearings https://sabctrc.saha.org.za/originals/decisions/1998/981102_kriel.htm DECISION The Committee after considering the application, the relevant documentation and the evidence, is satisfied that : a) the application complies with the requirements of Act 34 of 1995; b) the acts, omission or offences to which the application relates are acts associated with a political objective committed in the course of the conflicts of the past; c) that the relevant facts relating to the particular offences have been disclosed; d) that the offence does not constitute a gross violation of human rights. 2 Amnesty is GRANTED in respect of the following offences 1. conspiring to cause an explosion at the Hill View School in Pretoria on the 14th of June 1991; 2. contravention of Sections 2, 28, 29, 32, 36 and 39 of the Arms and Ammunition Act 75 of 1969; 3. contravention of Sections 3, 4, 5, 9 and 27 of the explosives Act 26 of 1956; 4. malicious damage of the property known as the Hill View School on the 14th of June 1991.
