			<text>The applicant applies for amnesty in respect of :</text>

			<text>1. contravention of Section 27(i) read with Section 27(i)(c) and sections 1 and 29 of Act 26 of 1956 in causing an explosion and endangering property;</text>

			<text>2. The theft of a motor car for the purpose of using it in carrying out political offences;</text>
		</line>

			<text>3. malicious damage to property.</text>

			<text>All of the above charges related to an explosion caused at the shop of a certain Hepburn, known as Kwati Store, near Patensie, Port Elizabeth, on or about the 3rd of January.</text>

			<text>The Committee after considering the application, the relevant documentation and the evidence, is satisfied that</text>

			<text>a) the application complies with the requirements of Act 34 of 1995;</text>

			<text>b) the acts, omission or offences to which the application relates are acts associated with a political objective committed in the course of the conflicts of the past;</text>

			<text>c) that the relevant facts relating to the particular offences have been disclosed;</text>
		</line>

			<speaker></speaker>
			<text>d) that the offence does not constitute a gross violation of human rights.</text>
