decisions AMNESTY DECISIONS 1998-11-19 JOSIAS SUNNYBOY MOGASHOA AC/98/0098 AM 2741/96 GRANTED https://sabctrc.saha.org.za/hearing.php?id=58652&t=&tab=hearings https://sabctrc.saha.org.za/originals/decisions/1998/981119_mogashoa.htm DECISION The Committee is satisfied that JOSIAS SUNNYBOY MOGASHOA: (i) was a member of AZAPO and a member of its military wing AZANLA at the time the acts under consideration by the Committee were committed; (ii) that when these acts were committed, applicant was acting in furtherance of the political objectives of AZAPO in its struggle against the South African government; 2 (iii) acted with political motive in executing the instructions from his Unit Commander in AZANLA. In the premises the requirements of Act No. 34 of 1995 as amended have been complied with. Amnesty is GRANTED in this matter in respect of the following offences (a) Planting of plastic explosives at Kwaggarand Motors, 144 Middle Cresent Pretoria on 16/17 October 1993 (b) Planting of T & T explosives at P.A. Swart Motors at 13th Avenue Menlopark on 31 October/01 November 1993 (c) The illegal possession of a 9mm pistol, handgrenades, landmine parts and detonators on 6 December 1993.
