			<text>The applicant, as a member of the Self-Defence Unit (SDU) in Tokoza, was placed in unlawful possession of 9 firearms and an undetermined amount of ammunition in the period 1990-1993.  He also distributed these for SDU activities from time to time.  He applies for amnesty in terms of Act 34 of 1995 as amended (the Act) for the aforesaid offences.</text>

			<text>It is common cause that the SDU&#039;s were established because of the political struggle between the African National Congress and the Inkatha Freedom Party in the area at the time.</text>

			<text>We are satisfied that the requirements of the Act have been complied with and amnesty for the unlawful possession of 9 (nine) firearms and ammunition as well as the distribution thereof is </text>
