			<text>The applicant applies for amnesty as an accessory after the fact in the murders of the Nietverdiendt Ten, The Ribeiros and Piet Ntuli.</text>

			<text>He was at the time a member of the Special Forces of the SADF serving under General Joubert and had the rank of colonel.  He commanded a unit of the Special Forces which was tasked with assisting the SAP police in combating the onslaught by the liberation forces in the Johannesburg area.</text>

			<text>He did not participate in the execution of any of the above murders but was aware of the planning and afterwards associated himself therewith.  </text>

			<text>The facts concerning the above mentioned offences appear fully from the decisions in Applications No&#039;s: 2773/96, 3799/96, 5453/97 and other applications dealt with in those decisions.</text>

			<text>The Committee is satisfied that the applicant has made a full disclosure of all relevant facts within his knowledge pertaining to the abovementioned.</text>

			<text>He met the requirements laid down in section 20(1), (2) and (3) of the Act and amnesty is </text>

			<speaker>GRANTED</speaker>
			<text>to the applicant in respect of</text>
		</line>

			<text>1. Any acts of preparation, conspiring, aiding or abetting and as an accessory after the facts in respect of murder of the ten males known as the Nietverdiendt Ten at a near Nietverdiendt in the district of Thabazimbi on or about 26th June 1986;</text>

			<text> the murders of Dr and Mrs Ribeiro at Mamelodi during or about December 1986 and;</text>
		</line>

			<speaker></speaker>
			<text> in the murder of Mr Piet Ntuli in KwaNdebele during July 1986.</text>

			<speaker></speaker>
			<text>2. Any other offence directly linked and directly related to the facts and disclosed in applicant&#039;s application and evidence in respect of the aforementioned murders including defeating the ends of justice, the using of explosives and the malicious damage of property.</text>
