			<text>The applicant was a member of the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging in April 1994.  He was then also employed in the South African Police Services.</text>

			<text>Upon instructions of the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging, he packed up his belongings in Durban, sold his house and went to Ventersdorp in the belief of preparing for war from which the establishment of a Boere Volkstaat would flow.</text>

			<text>In pursuance of this venture, the applicant, with another attempted to discharge a bomb in the district of Benoni and Boksburg.  However, he was arrested before the bomb could be discharged and after he deliberately rode through a formal roadblock.</text>

			<text>His actions were committed with a political motive.  His application satisfies the requirements of the Act.</text>

			<text>Consequently amnesty is GRANTED for the following acts:-</text>

			<text>(i) Unlawful possession of explosives as envisaged in Section 28 read with sections 1 and 27 of Act 26 of 1956;</text>
		</line>

			<text> (ii) Failing to adhere to an instruction to stop at a roadblock;</text>
		</line>

			<speaker></speaker>
			<text>          (iii) Conspiracy to contravene Section 27(i) of Act 26 of 1956.</text>
