During 1992 and 1993, the applicant was a member of the self Defence Unit in or about Sharpeville.

It is common cause and knowledge, that policemen were at the time targets of various political attacks.

The applicant applies for amnesty in terms of Act 34 of 1995 as amended (the Act) in respect of robbing two members of the South African Police of firearms. There seems to be substantial corroboration for the facts as is set out.

We are satisfied that the applicant has complied with the requirements of the Act and amnesty is GRANTED accordingly.
