DECISION

These are applications for amnesty in respect of the following offences:-

1. unlawful of four (4) unlicensed AK 47 rifles and ammunition;

2. unlawful possession of a 9.mm Makarov pistol and

3. unlawful possession of 269 rounds of ammunition.

The applicants are currently serving long terms of imprisonment for the above offences. At the time of the commission of the offences they were members of Umkhonto We Siswe, the then military wing of the African National Congress and acted on its behalf. We are satisfied that they have complied with the requirements of the Act and amnesty is therefore GRANTED to both applicants for all the above offences.
