����� DECISION

The Applicant indicates in his written amnesty application that he was a member of the security branch of the Venda Police during the period 1978 - 1994.� In this capacity he investigated numerous matters including incidents of arrest during the period 1985 - 1990.� He indicated that he always acted in the execution of his official duties and that he never assaulted any arrestee.� It is quite apparent from the application that the Applicant acted lawfully in the course and scope of his employment as a police officer.

In the circumstances the application does not disclose any offence.� The application accordingly does not comply with the requirements of the Act and amnesty is REFUSED.
