Magabheni attacks

Explanation
On 26 November 1990, large groups of IFP supporters carried out attacks on ANC supporters in the Magabheni area, KwaZulu, near Durban, allegedly in an attempt to purge the area of ANC supporters. The attacks allegedly followed an instruction issued by a local IFP-supporting chief to 'restore law and order at Magabheni'. Eight people were killed.
