Phillip Matela, Thami Hlobo and Jeremiah Moikabi applied for amnesty for the killing of four white motorists who had ventured into Mshenguville township near Odendaalsrus in 1990. The applicants said they killed them because they thought they were IFP supporters and wanted to protect their community.
