A member of COSAS who was severely injured when a booby-trapped hand grenade exploded in his hands on 25 June 1985. Eight COSAS members and at least seven others were severely injured in similar attacks at this time in the Transvaal. Fifteen Security Branch operatives, including the head of the Security Branch and other senior personnel, were granted amnesty for the operation (AC/2001/058). See Operation Zero Zero.
