An ANC supporter who was severely assaulted with a sjambok by members of the Ciskei Police and Ciskei Defence Force (CDF) in Mdantsane, Ciskei, on 16 June 1986. Mr Hobana had attended a ceremony commemorating the Soweto uprising.
