Description
An ANC supporter and trade union activist who was detained at John Vorster Square, Johannesburg in 1982 where he was kept in solitary confinement, tortured, severely assaulted and kept awake for six days and nights, allegedly by named members of the security forces. He was later sentenced to eighteen months’ imprisonment for harbouring and assisting a prisoner who escaped from Pretoria Central prison, Pretoria, to leave the country.
