Was shot by masked gunmen in his family home in Vosloorus, Tvl, on 12 October 1991. Mr Ntombela died a year after the attack, reportedly as a result of his injuries. Three family members were killed and eight people were wounded in the attack which took place during ongoing political conflict in the area.
