End Conscription Campaign (ECC)

In the second act the Applicant participated in an operation to cause damage to the vehicle and property of a group of actors connected to the End Conscription Campaign.  The vehicle and property were situated near Witwatersrand University at the time of the incident.

GRANTED: amnesty in terms of Act No. 34 of 1995 for the crime of refusing to undergo military training in contravention of article 126 A (1) (b) of Act 26 of 1957, committed by him in or about January 1983 as a member of the End Conscription Campaign and on its behalf.

Gavin Evan's name appeared on a CCB priority list.  Burger and Basson had a discussion about him.  Their information was that he was a journalist and also a member of the End Conscription Campaign.
