Warrant Officer Hendrik Steyn will probably have to wait a few weeks to hear if the Truth Commission is going to free him from jail. The first murderers who applied for amnesty in Rustenburg in May walked out of jail on Friday when the Truth Commission granted them amnesty. Before we tell you their story and what the verdict means to other perpetrators of human rights violations lets remind ourselves of how the process works.
