Special Report Transcript Episode 51, Section 1, Time 00:09The conflict in our country with which the Truth Commission concern itself was between adults, children had no say or part in it. Yet, they were the real victims of our terrible past. Tonight we introduce you to a very special young man who as a five year old saw his parents executed in cold blood. On Friday we took him to meet his father’s killer. We also show you the dark side of the ANC in exile. Ill treatment, paranoia, torture and executions in ANC camps in neighbouring states. But first the story of Tshidiso Motasi. In 1987 Sergeant Richard Motasi and his wife Busisiwe were murdered by a police hit squad. The policemen claim they were ordered to kill their colleague because he had become an ANC agent. His friends and family say he was killed because he sued the police after a colonel had assaulted him. The policemen say Vlakplaas man Joe Mamasela shot Busisiwe Motasi. Warrant Officer Paul van Vuuren admitted to the Truth Commission’s Amnesty Committee that he executed sergeant Motasi.
