Special Report Transcript Episode 52, Section 5, Time 21:58Tomorrow is June 16, Freedom Day. Exactly 21 years ago Soweto students rose up against Bantu education and repression in general. The revolt soon spread countrywide and had a profound effect on our country’s history. We prepared a collage of visuals and sound last year to commemorate this event. We’ve been asked to broadcast it again. This is a shorter edited version. All the visuals were shot in June 1976.
