An ANC supporter who had her home burnt down by Inkatha supporters on 10 February 1990 in KwaNxamalala, KwaZulu, near Pietermaritzburg, in political conflict following the unbanning of political organisations on 2 February. Ms Bhengu was reportedly shot dead two years later in Northdale, Pietermaritzburg.
