A member of the SAP who suffered injuries on 22 July 1992 when he and 12 other policemen were attacked by ANC self-defence unit (SDU) members while on foot patrol in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. Six policemen were injured in the exchange of fire. Two SDU members were granted amnesty for the incident (AC/1997/0029).
