She died after she was tortured and ‘necklaced’ by ‘comrades’ in Duncan Village, East London, on 6 January 1986. She was accused of bewitching her brother who had died three months earlier when he was run over by an SADF vehicle. Her mother was also killed in the incident. See Duncan Village.
