Was abducted in Durban on 13 August 1985. His mutilated body was found a week later at Mtunzini, Natal. Although the perpetrators have not been identified, police had been searching for Mr Dweba and constantly harassing his wife and family, apparently because he and his wife were active UDF officials. Their home was petrol-bombed by Inkatha members on 27 August, 1985.
