Description
An ANC member who was arrested, tortured and assaulted by members of the Security Police in East London in 1963 and Cape Town in 1964. He was convicted of being a member of a banned organisation and sentenced to imprisonment on Robben Island, from where he was released in 1970 after developing mental illness. In 1979 he left the country for Tanzania where he later died of malaria.
