An ANC supporter who was beaten when she was arrested by members of the Bophuthatswana Police in Pampierstad, Bophuthatswana, on 1 January 1994. Ms Hotane was arrested with eighteen others and accused of arson and malicious damage to property. Charges were dropped in November 1995.
