Mr Lehphadi was the legal representative for people involved in an attempted coup against the former Bophuthatswana government. | References | | LEKABE, Modise Jacob | 18 | Was sjambokked and kicked by members of the Bophuthatswana Police in Zeerust, Transvaal, on 16 May 1989 while travelling to school. | References | | LEKABE, Thomas Phule | | Was injured and suffered damage to property in the Boipatong massacre by IFP supporters in Boipatong, near Vanderbijlpark, Transvaal, on 17 June 1992, which left forty five people dead and twenty seven seriously injured. Thirteen perpetrators were granted amnesty. The perpetrator was sentenced to death but later indemnified and released under a deal between the ANC and the National Party government. | References |
