MADUMA, Moleki Joseph 40Was severely beaten by named members of the SAP in Burgersfort, Transvaal, in March 1986. Mr Maduma attended a mass community meeting to discuss the water crisis in the area the previous day.References
MADUNA, Doctor JohnWas abducted, along with a friend, from his home at the Motsoaledi informal settlement by members of an ANC self-defence unit (SDU) and ANC supporters, on 29 March 1994. They were taken to a nearby school in Orlando East, Soweto, Johannesburg, where he was shot dead and his friend shot and injured. They were suspected of participating in an IFP march that day. MADUNA, Fanyana ReubenWas shot dead by members of Inkatha in Sebokeng, Vereeniging, Transvaal, on 22 March 1990 after an Inkatha march in the area. Sebokeng was tense after clashes between IFP-supporting hostel-dwellers and ANC-supporting residents.References
MADUNA, Jabile ChristinaA UDF supporter who had her house looted and set alight on 6 April 1990 when a group of Inkatha supporters attacked UDF supporters and residents at Mpumalanga, KwaZulu, near Durban, in spite of a heavy police and military presence. Fourteen people were killed and at least one hundred and twenty homes were burnt down. One former IFP member was granted amnesty (AC/1999/0332).References

MADUNA, Mqinisweni AlbertWas shot and wounded when ANC security guards from the ANC headquarters at Shell House, Johannesburg, opened fire on a crowd of IFP marchers, on 28 March 1994. At least nine marchers were killed and around one hundred were injured. Ten ANC security guards were granted amnesty (AC/2000/142).References
MADUNA, VusiWas assaulted and stabbed to death in March 1987 by a group of UDF supporters and members of the Hammarsdale Youth Congress in Clermont, near Durban, who suspected him of being a police informer and causing divisions in the organisations. MADUTWANE, Percia NompiWas stabbed by UDF supporters when her parents` home was petrol-bombed in Kagiso, Transvaal, on 1 March 1986. Her father was a policeman and the community saw the family as legitimate targets during the rent and consumer boycotts of the time.References
MADUWA, Nomgidi Martha 41A SADTU member who lost her home and was later stabbed by IFP supporters in Katlehong, Transvaal, on 25 May 1993. An ANC march past an IFP-supporting Tokoza hostel on 22 May 1993 sparked violent conflict that led to over 1000 women and children fleeing their homes. About thirty five people were killed and fourteen injured in Katlehong during May 1993.References
MADUWA, NyamaxholisaShe died when she was assaulted and set alight by youths in Venda on 21 March 1990. She held a leadership position in the Venda government and was accused of using witchcraft to hinder the work of political activists in the area. MADWANYA, Themba Melville 48Was arrested on 3 February 1977 and detained for one hundred and fifteen days without trial at Dimbaza police station, Ciskei. He was persecuted by named members of the Ciskei Police because he did not participate in CNIP activities.References
MADWE, Thembekile Joyce 41An ANC supporter who had her house in Inanda, near KwaMashu, Durban, burnt down by IFP supporters in April 1992.References
MAEMA, Pitso Simon 28He lost both his legs after he was shot by members of the Bophuthatswana Police in Rustenberg, Transvaal, on 16 December 1991 during an industrial strike at the Impala Platinum Mine.References
MAENETJA, Senyaheno ThomasWas the target of an attempted robbery in Thabamoopo, Transvaal, when two MK operatives tried to rob him of his vehicle on 7 January 1990. One MK operative was granted amnesty (AC/2000/81).References
MAENETJE, Tshepo Brown AnthonyAn ANC supporter who was severely beaten with sjamboks and rifle butts by members of the Lebowa Police in Tzaneen, Transvaal, on 8 May 1986 during a state of emergency.References
MAEPA, Ntebele MargaretWas injured and suffered damage to property on 17 June 1992 in the Boipatong massacre in Boipatong, near Vanderbijlpark, Transvaal, which left forty five people dead and twenty seven seriously injured. Thirteen perpetrators were granted amnesty, and a further three applications were refused (AC/2000/209).References
