MAIMELA, Lengoi MosesWas killed when MK operatives detonated an explosive in a car outside the South African Air Force (SAAF) headquarters in Church Street, Pretoria, on 20 May 1983. Twenty-one people were killed and 217 injured. The overall commander of MK`s Special Operations Unit and two MK operatives were granted amnesty (AC/2001/003 and AC/2001/023). MAIMELA, Shiko DavidWas severely injured was killed when AWB members detonated a car bomb in Bree Street, Johannesburg, on 24 April 1994, in an effort to disrupt the electoral process. MAISA, Sabata DanielWas shot dead by IFP supporters in Tokoza, Transvaal, on 3 December 1990 after he reportedly refused to point out Xhosa-speaking people`s houses. Mr Maisa was one of nineteen people who died during conflict in Tokoza on that day, during ongoing conflict between ANC and IFP supporters in the area. References
MAITSE, Julia Maki 34Was shot dead by members of the ANC-aligned self-defence unit in Moleleki, Katlehong, Germiston, on 7 December 1993. The perpetrators applied for amnesty for the abduction and killing of her husband and son in the same attack. Amnesty was denied.References
MAITSE, Petrus MahlomolaAn AZAPO supporter who was shot dead by a named SAP member in Sasolburg, Orange Free State (OFS) on 18 May 1986. The incident took place during a joint AZAPO/UDF protest against restrictions on political activity. Five other protesters were seriously injured in the attack.References
MAITSHOTLO, Pogisho Thomas 21An ANC supporter who was partially paralysed after he was seriously injured in Tigane, Hartbeesfontein, Transvaal, on 9 May 1991 when an IFP supporter threw a hand grenade at ANC supporters on a peace march. Peace marches had been organised by both parties on that day.References
MAJA, Paul Teboho 40He died when ANC supporters petrol-bombed the bus in which he was travelling in Botshabelo, near Bloemfontein, on 6 February 1990. The incident took place during a strike by the employees of a bus company. The ANC, in solidarity with the strikers, had called on people not to use buses.References
