Was arrested and detained for allegedly conspiring to poison the town`s water supply in Victoria West, Cape, during April 1968. He was convicted but after seven months he was released following an appeal. This was part of a set of arrests and trials in the Karoo region in which Poqo networks were alleged to have conspired to rise up against the white population.
